PromptMate now lets reusable prompts behave more like small, structured tools. Fill variables at send time, organize prompts into groups, attach shared group instructions, and append persistent personal context across platforms.
Turn any prompt into a fill-in workflow.
Add {{variable}} placeholders to any prompt. When you click Use, PromptMate opens a fill-in dialog, collects the missing values, and shows a live preview before inserting the final prompt. No more editing in the chat box after pasting.

Add user context first
Write the stable background you keep repeating: role, stack, audience, and preferences. Keep it broad enough to help most prompts.
Create 2-3 starter groups
Start with groups like Code Review, Writing, or Learning. Add group instructions only when every prompt in that group needs the same rule.
Convert edits into variables
If you always replace a topic, diff, error, audience, or feature goal after pasting, turn that piece into a {{variable}}.
Preview before inserting
Use the live preview to catch vague variable values, missing context, or instructions that should move into the group instead.
